OK, I've installed most of the $1,000 worth of replacement parts in my baby

exhaust system, and set the valve timing.

I notice that you had little response so I'll try to give you a hand, if it isn't to late!
WIth the timing cover off, there shud be a couple of marks or holes on the crankshaft pulley and on the camshaft pulley ----- As I remember it - you line these up and install the timing chain ---- your valves are now in time with the pistons ---------- then you turn the distributor to make the ignition line up with the valves and pistons ---------
while your down there looking at stuff check the timing belt tightener ------- the little hydraulic cylinder pushes a neoprene ski/shoe against the chain keeping the slop out ---------
