tube radios with vibrators all have a buzz ----- the vibrator is actually making the 12 VDC into ?VAC ----- a center 'reed' is vibrating back and forth between two sets on points --- when it hits the one on the left you get one side of the AC - when it hits the right point you get the other ----- this action and the mechanical movements that accompany it cause the buzz ---- your radio won't work without it UNLESS you do as someone else has and install a solid state vibrator ----- see some of the old notes from Carson -----
