What these optional rear ends do is , reduce the engine RPM's at highway
speeds . I'm not sure the 978 engine has enough " oomph " to push it .
I'd know if I drove the car .
At best , you'd need (IMO) the 3.90 ratio rear end as that requires less
horsepower I'm certain you motor would be overtaxed pushing the 3.72 .
They're simple drop in replacements .
