Finally- Progress!
Hey guys-
Got the spin-on filter conversion hooked up, an easy job once you get the
upper gasket out!
Started the Bugger, and found: Back light repairs sucessfull! no oil leaks!
no water leaks! Water pump working! Shifted and clutched to my hearts content
(still up on stands). Found that the reason the rt.rear brakes are stuck is
that the emergency brake lever wont moove...
When thats done, I rehook the emergency brake handle and lower theBugger on
the ground. Still need to finish the shocks.
Question: The front shocks are attached to the top, but I couldnt get the
bottom hooked up to the suspension. Is it OK to try jacking up the suspension
frame and compress the spring while I'm up on jack stands? Stands are on the
frame.
Also- my front lights dont work now (they used to). Could more juice being
drawn from the rear lights "starve " them?
Any help....blah blah blah.....
