You grew up on a farm, didn't you?  Are you still using un-pasteurised milk?
No, I didn't think so.  Why would you use the old type of oil when a much
better product is now available?  Today's multi-weight, detergent oils, are
so much better for your engine, you would be a fool not to use them.

If you find that you start to use oil after going to them, then that is
because you have cleaned all the crap and corruption out of the engine that
had accumulated over the years of miss-use.  The burning would NOT be the
fault of the oil, but of the lack of proper maintenance.  You would have
just been living on borrowed time.
