Well, seems as if everything is up and running with this list now. Great. So, I'll introduce myself. I'm Matt Birchard and I live in the great Pacific Northwest; Portland, Oregon to be specific. I'm 20 years of age. And I own a Metropolitan (of course). I'm a MOCNA member, #7244 and also a member of the Columbia-Willamette chapter of MOCNA. I'm a full time college student attending Portland State University (hence the psu# and .edu for my e-mail address). I also work part time at an ice cream and frozen yogurt place at the airport. Now, on to my car. My Met is a 1959 Black & White hardtop. She is restored, but not show quality. A good cruise in car really. I've never shown the car, but I may in the future. The story of how I came to own my Met I'll save for another time. However, I've owned her since Februray of 1996. Now thankfully, she is paid for. Up until recently I was using the Met as my daily driver. I have since purchased a second car for "all weather" driving. It is a '79 Renault LeCar. Now the Met has truly become the pleasure driver that it was intend for and insured as. The biggest Met function that I have attended was the 1997 National MOCNA convention, held in Hunt Valley, Maryland. I flew back by myself and really enjoyed the weekend and the many cars. I'll give you all more details on that meet later on. But now, I've got other things that require my attention, so I'll just send this off to the list and await everyone else's intros.
