I saw set of > three gauges (water, oil, volts) and was wondering how one converts a > set of 12 volt negative ground gauges to work with the positive ground > setup found in a Met? > > Nathan Hendler I have a junk '58 conv that had SMITH gauges - the water guage is to the right of the radio, the SMITH oil and gen guages were below the dash - at the left knee, the windshield washer pump was left of the dimmer switch, the wsw sprayer was centered (?) on the hood, the snaps for the touneau cover were on the dash and irritatingly, on the top of the doors........ had to lay your arm between them!! switch for the map light is underdash on the right side, even had an 'under the hood light' switched from under the dash the back up lights were inboard and under the tail lights. reverse the leads to use +12 for -12 All are in the proper original locations of dealer aftermarket gismos. JRC USE GOOD TASTE - TASTE THAT ALL WILL APPRECIATE!
