Subject: we just bought one!!!!!!!!!! A FEW questions!!

Hi guys!!!
We are the new proud owners of a 1961 Metropolitan.. a red one!!!!  We bought
the car long distance....actually just overnighted the check to the
owner...and a car trucking company is picking it up at the end of the week.
 The car has been in dry storage for 8 years...and only has about 51,000
original miles on it.  The man we purchasedd it from made us an unbelieveably
discript video tape showing every single detail of the car... We are
astounded at what condition it is in...and needless to say we are SO EXCITED.

One question for all you met owners....when he showed us the dash.. he
pointed to a knob on the right regarding starting? (no this was not the
choke) can u please write to me and tell us any "rules of thumb" regarding
starting , etc. etc....just stuff a brand new "met" owner needs to know...
YOur feedback is greatly appreciated and we'll send a pic a/s/a our new met
arrives.  We also own a 54 ford...so this will be her "little friend!!"
