Not to say that someone else wont have the problem, but I've never turned
on the headlights on my Met when starting it.  Perhaps the person (I
forgot who) started this "thread" has a loose headlight knob?  I can't see
how the lights could be turned on without you knowing it.  The headlight
knob in my car doesn't turn easily enough to do it when I turn the key.
