Hi John, That is great! I just wanted to note that some people do not know the history of their car and assume that 30K is 30K and not 130K. But, it sounds as if the previous owner of your car knows it's history. The '58 that is on my web site (www.zeebyrd.com/nashmet/index.html) has 37k showing on it. The individual that gave me the car told me it had 37K original miles. However, since the car hadn't moved in 30 years and he was 30 years younger at the time, he really did not know anything about the car. This isn't a problem for me - the car having more miles on it than "expected". The car was given to me for the trouble of removing it from someone's driveway. They were even nice enough to find 4 tires that would hold air in order to get it on the trailer. I cannot wait to get this car on the road again. It really wont take much as we had the engine running - as I said after 30 years of sitting idle. It did not even smoke a bit. We now have to replace some of it's parts as we had to take them out to use in the supposedly rebuilt engine in the '56. We plan on doing all work to the '56 - body and engine. However, I want to have the paint job done professionally. I will keep it the same colors - black and white. Actually, when I was looking for my first Met, I wanted either this color scheme or turquoise and white. But, I settled on the mardigras red/white as I fell in love with the car when I saw it!
