Yes, my headlight knob is loose.  It is the origional, old, crystalised, 
and nearly clear.  I've got a replacement knob, but I haven't put it on 
yet.  I have to be careful when turning off the lights, as I may turn off 
the engine.  Anyway, with an origional knob, it is probably more likely 
to occur than if the knob has been replaced.  I wouldn't ever put in a 
seperate switch for the headlights, I think they are cool just were they 
are.  But, it is your car, do as you please.
