Conn 1921 Silver C Melody (70156)

This auctioned on 04/24/99, 06:26:14 PDT eBay for $330.50.

Here's what the seller had to say about the horn...

This sax went through the local musicians' music store for checkout, and the repairman said it was the "best C melody (he'd) ever handled". Maybe he was kidding, or maybe he'd never seen one, but I don't think so. The horn is nickel-plated and shiny - serial number is 70156, and it's low pitch, which is right for today's playing. Felts and pads are new-looking - the guy who GAVE it to me seven or eight years ago said he'd just done all that work.

No dents, no rust, low miles! It comes with an nice original case, a couple of extra pads, a mouthpiece cap, a silver thing that goes in the neck, and five new Hemke reeds.
