[VT-100] [Dumb Terminals]
Model 910
I am very happy with my Model 910. It has a bit of a high pitch squeal that makes me want to drill holes into my head, but considering I payed only $1.25 for it I don't mind too much. It has a grip of dip switches on the back. Luckily I found a text file on the 910, and away I went.

The Restoration...

November 1994 - I found the Terminal at the ARC thrift store on Colfax in Denver. I recognized it as a terminal, and also recognized that it had over $1.25 worth of parts in it, and gladly paid the $1.25 (marked down from $7.95) without knowing if it even worked.
Late November 1994 - Being a Macintosh person I owned no null modem cables, had no db25->db25 cables. After getting the correct cable I hooked the terminal up to a modem, and was able to make the modem dial, but I got pure garbage on the crt. Looking at the 20 dip switches on the back I wasn't supprised.
December 1994 - Almost tossed it before moving out to St. Louis, but hauled it along anyway.
January 1995 - After moving into St. Louis I wondered why I had brought the Terminal, and put it into storage.
June 1995 - Came very very close to tossing the Terminal before moving to Arizona, but felt that since I had trucked it so far it would suck to get rid of it.
Late June 1995 - Wondered why I thought it would suck to have left the Terminal behind in St. Louis with the cute alley cats. I then tossed it into storage.
29th & 30th of September 1995 - I'm still not sure how all of this happened, but all of a suden I had the Terminal on my desk, and was driving all over town to get cables to hook it up to my mac, and to a modem. I found a text file with the dip switch settings, and got the thing running. Now it has a place on my desk.
Late May 1996 - The Televideo has found a new home with Tim Smith. He has it hooked up to his 486 running FreeBSD. It's nice, and I play Terminal Tetris on it often.
March 1997 NEW! Tim has returned the Televideo and it's now back in my computer room. Some day I'll find a use for it again. Maybe I'll hook it up to my Newton.
The Future - What's in the future for this Terminal? I'm not sure if I want to keep everything stock, or customize. I've toyed with the idea of chopping it, and perhaps adding more chrome.
